German Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin has announced a new main sponsorship agreement with Raisin, a Berlin-based fintech company specializing in savings and investment products. The partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between two organizations with strong local roots and a shared commitment to sustainable growth.

Under the agreement, Raisin becomes the official shirt sponsor for both the men’s and women’s first teams at Union Berlin, with its logo featured on the front of the match kits starting in the 2025/26 season.

Local Roots, Global Ambitions Union Berlin Raisin

Founded in Berlin, Raisin has expanded its operations internationally across 10 markets. CEO and co-founder Dr. Tamaz Georgadze emphasized the symbolic significance of supporting a club that shares both geographic ties and a values-based approach to progress.

“We founded Raisin in Berlin and grew our international business from here. Supporting Union Berlin, with both its professional teams, makes us proud,” Georgadze said. “We believe that success is built on perseverance and that true strength comes from fairness—values we share with the club.”

Union Berlin president Dirk Zingler welcomed the partnership, noting the alignment between the two organizations:

“Raisin is a Berlin-based company that shares our values and sees itself as a partner for both the men’s and women’s teams. From our first conversations, it was clear they were the right fit.”

Launch of a New Visual Identity

The partnership also coincides with Raisin’s brand refresh, which includes retiring its former German market name “Weltsparen.” Moving forward, the company will operate uniformly under the Raisin brand in all markets.

The updated logo will be displayed for the first time during Union’s summer friendlies. To complement the sponsorship launch, Union Berlin and kit supplier adidas unveiled the club’s third kit for 2025/26—a striking light blue jersey with white accents, drawing nostalgic inspiration from kits worn between 2006 and 2008.

Nostalgia and Modern Branding

Raisin’s logo, usually blue, appears in white on the new third kit to align with Union Berlin’s traditional red-and-white identity. The unveiling event featured Daniel “Texas” Teixeira, a legendary Union striker who scored 67 goals in 78 competitive matches for the club. Teixeira joined former teammates in presenting the retro-inspired adidas design.
