Villarreal CF has launched a new phase of development at the Estadio de la Cerámica, continuing a long-term stadium transformation strategy that began during the club’s centenary year in 2023.
The latest investment focuses on improving stadium access, circulation, safety and event infrastructure, while also creating new spaces intended to enhance the overall visitor experience.
New Building Adds Additional Capacity for Sport and Events Villarreal CF
A central part of the project involves improving supporter movement throughout the stadium. The club will construct new vomitories and circulation corridors designed to optimise crowd flow, reduce congestion and improve safety standards on matchdays.
Alongside infrastructure upgrades inside the stadium, Villarreal will also construct a new building adjacent to the North Stand.

According to the club, the facility will include:
• New sports-related spaces
• Additional parking areas
• Infrastructure supporting matchday operations
• Facilities capable of supporting a broader range of events
The development reinforces the growing importance of multi-use stadium environments. Increasingly, clubs seek to maximise the commercial potential of their venues by accommodating conferences, corporate events, community activities and other non-matchday uses.
Building on the Centenary Transformation
Villarreal described the latest works as another step in the evolution of the Estadio de la Cerámica and part of its commitment to improving safety and the supporter experience. The club also confirmed that some seating areas may be affected by the project and that detailed information regarding any relocation of season-ticket holders will be communicated during the 2026/27 membership campaign.
Supporters impacted by the reconfiguration will be offered alternative seating options. The current project follows the extensive redevelopment completed during Villarreal's centenary celebrations in 2023.
