This new system, set to debut on May 5th during the match between Valencia CF and Deportivo Alavés, will enable VCF Socio season ticket holders to access the stadium using digital passes on their mobile phones or smartwatches, marking a shift towards more secure and convenient entry methods.
Previously, Valencia CF had utilized QR codes for digital season tickets, a method that already streamlined entry but required physical interaction with scanners. The shift to NFC technology enhances this process by allowing contactless access, where fans can simply tap their device against a contactless reader at the turnstiles. This move not only speeds up the entry process, reducing lines and wait times, but also increases security by minimizing the risk of lost or stolen tickets.
