At the Lionel Andrés Messi training complex, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) officially announced a new sponsorship agreement with TCL, the global technology brand. The partnership positions TCL as an official sponsor of the Argentina national football team.
Presentation at the AFA Headquarters TCL Argentina
The announcement event began with a welcome video before being introduced by former Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea. Attendees included Claudio Tapia, President of the AFA, Leandro Petersen, AFA’s Commercial and Marketing Director, as well as Nicolás Carreras and Gustavo Vázquez Gastaldi, representing TCL Argentina.
Tapia highlighted the significance of the partnership within AFA’s broader commercial strategy:
“Welcome to the House of the World Champions. We want to thank TCL, a leading global brand in technology. Having their trust is very important to us. We now count on nearly 80 sponsors supporting us, which demonstrates growth and shows that our project is delivering sporting results.”
Campaign: Alma de Campeón
During the event, TCL and AFA also presented “Alma de Campeón”, a video card product celebrating Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup victory in Qatar. The initiative is designed as a commemorative and innovative item, linking technology with emotional fan engagement.
Commercial Context
The agreement strengthens AFA’s sponsorship portfolio, which includes nearly 80 brands across various industries. For TCL, aligning with Argentina’s national team adds visibility to its technology brand in one of the world’s most passionate football markets.
