Rimini Football Club has officially confirmed the preliminary agreement for the sale of 100% of its shares from Building Company S.r.l. to a new ownership group led by entrepreneur Nicola Di Matteo. The transaction marks a pivotal transition for the Emilia-Romagna club, as it seeks renewed financial stability and continuity under new management.

A Turning Point for Rimini FC Rimini FC

According to the official club statement, the preliminary sale agreement was signed on November 6, 2025, outlining the terms for the complete transfer of ownership. The finalization of the deal — including payment for the release of the previously seized shares and the official handover to the new owners — is scheduled for November 7.

This change of control comes amid Rimini’s broader effort to stabilize its financial operations and secure the club’s long-term future, following a period of administrative uncertainty.

Outgoing Owner’s Statement

Giusy Anna Scarcella, who oversaw Rimini FC through her ownership under Building Company S.r.l., emphasized in a farewell statement the responsibility felt in ensuring a smooth transition:

“In recent months, we have worked with a strong sense of responsibility to protect Rimini FC and ensure its future. Given the circumstances, it was no longer possible for me to guarantee the managerial and financial continuity the club required.I thank the group led by Nicola Di Matteo for taking on this challenge with determination, allowing Rimini to continue its journey and preserve its identity. I am confident this transition will restore serenity, enthusiasm, and confidence across the club — especially among the players and staff who work every day to honour this shirt.”

Her remarks underline the club’s efforts to maintain institutional integrity and ensure a structured change of ownership, rather than a sudden exit.
