Lega Serie A has brought former AS Roma captain Francesco Totti and the Serie A Scudetto trophy to Tbilisi, Georgia, as part of the Italian football league's international promotional activities.

Totti, who serves as a Serie A Ambassador, met Italy's Ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze during the visit.

The visit brought together two prominent figures in Italian football: Totti, who spent his entire senior club career at AS Roma, and Kaladze, the former AC Milan defender who now serves as Mayor of Tbilisi.

The Scudetto trophy, awarded to the Italian league champions, was presented during the visit as part of Serie A's promotional activities.

"I'm always delighted to see calcio fans all over the world and to meet passionate Serie A supporters," Totti said.

The event also involved diplomatic representatives, with Italian Ambassador Massimiliano D'Antuono highlighting football's role in strengthening relations between Italy and Georgia.

Serie A Continues International Brand Promotion

The Tbilisi visit forms part of Serie A's efforts to develop its international profile through football ambassadors and promotional events outside Italy.

Leveraging internationally recognised former players and the league's championship trophy provides an opportunity to engage supporters in overseas markets and promote Serie A's identity.

Georgia has an established connection with Italian football through Kaladze, who won two UEFA Champions League titles during his time at AC Milan.

Lega Serie A did not announce any new broadcasting agreements, sponsorship contracts or commercial partnerships associated with the visit.

The initiative was presented as an international promotional activity aimed at strengthening engagement with Georgian football supporters.
