Paris Saint-Germain partnered with Paris-based design school École Camondo to create a special artistic poster for the club’s UEFA Champions League round-of-16 fixture against Chelsea FC.

The artwork, unveiled ahead of the first match, was designed by Jules Ragot, a student at École Camondo, and formed part of an ongoing collaboration between the club and the design institution aimed at showcasing emerging creative talent through football-related visual projects. The initiative reflects PSG’s broader brand strategy of integrating football with creative industries, positioning matchday communications as opportunities for artistic expression and cultural storytelling.

The design draws inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night,” reinterpreting the painting’s distinctive swirling style through the colours and visual identities of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

The visual concept symbolically links Paris and London, reflecting the cultural bridge between the two cities represented by the clubs. Swirling patterns in club colours were used to evoke the intensity and atmosphere of Champions League nights while blending artistic heritage with modern football branding.

Collaboration With a Design School

The poster is part of a broader partnership launched earlier this season between PSG and École Camondo, a Paris-based design school specialising in architecture and interior design. Through the initiative, students are invited to produce creative works linked to the club’s matches and identity, giving emerging designers exposure through one of football’s most visible global competitions.

For PSG, such collaborations provide an alternative approach to match promotion while reinforcing the club’s positioning within the wider cultural and creative ecosystem.
