Newcastle United has signed a multi-year global partnership with Corpay, naming the US-based corporate payments company’s Cross-Border business its Official FX and Cross-Border Payments Partner.
The agreement will see Corpay provide foreign exchange expertise and international payment services to support Newcastle's business operations as the Premier League club expands its activities across overseas markets.
Corpay to Support Newcastle's International Payments Newcastle
Under the agreement, Corpay Cross-Border will work with Newcastle United on foreign exchange and international corporate payments.
Corpay's platform supports transactions in more than 145 currencies across over 200 countries, providing businesses with a centralised system for managing payments across different markets.
The agreement forms part of Newcastle United's efforts to develop its commercial operations and international business infrastructure.
As football clubs expand their activities across multiple markets, international payments become an increasingly important operational consideration.
Dave O'Connor, Chief Revenue Officer at Newcastle United, said:
"As we continue to scale Newcastle United as a high-performance international business, Corpay will play a key role in supporting our global operations."
O'Connor added that the company's expertise would help the club operate more efficiently across markets and support its longer-term international ambitions.
Corpay Expands Premier League Partnerships
For Corpay, the Newcastle agreement adds another Premier League property to its sports partnership activities.
The company provides corporate payment services and foreign exchange solutions to businesses operating internationally, including tools designed to manage currency exposure and simplify cross-border transactions.
Brad Loder, Chief Marketing Officer at Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, said the agreement strengthens the company's position within English football.
"This partnership further strengthens Corpay's position as the trusted corporate payments and currency risk management provider of choice across the Premier League."
The Newcastle partnership provides Corpay with an association with a Premier League club while creating an opportunity to demonstrate its services in an international sports business environment.
