Manchester City has broken new ground by becoming the first football club to launch an official Fortnite Creative map. Announced today, the innovative gaming experience titled 'The Ladder [Man City]' merges the thrilling world of Manchester City with the global sensation of Fortnite, offering fans a unique blend of football and gaming.


A Competitive Gaming Experience


'The Ladder [Man City]' is a one-v-one map designed to capture the competitive and dynamic spirit that defines Manchester City, the recently crowned Premier League champions for the fourth consecutive season. This map draws inspiration from the club's distinctive 'glyphs', a series of symbols that encapsulate recognizable icons within the City brand. Gamers will navigate through 11 themed arenas, each bringing a piece of the City to life.

  • Blue Moon Level: Inspired by the iconic City anthem, this arena embodies the club's enduring spirit.

  • Bee Level: A tribute to the famous Manchester worker-bee, symbolizing the city's industrious nature.


Intense One-v-One Matches Manchester City Fortnite


Designed with support from Karta, the map challenges players to climb the ranks in intense one-v-one matches. Player positions constantly shift based on performance, creating a dynamic and competitive atmosphere. Celebratory Content and Activations


To mark the launch, Manchester City will release a series of content across their channels during the men's first team pre-season tour in the United States. Special activations are planned around the team's first fixture against Celtic Football Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, enhancing the fan experience both online and offline.


Expanding the Esports Frontier


This Fortnite creative map is the latest stride in Manchester City's burgeoning gaming and esports strategy. The club has been actively engaging with both football and esports audiences through bespoke experiences and unique collaborations. This includes professional esports teams across various titles, such as Fortnite, and dedicated esports content channels.
