Liverpool FC has officially announced a multi-year partnership with Adidas, marking the return of the three stripes to Anfield from August 1, 2025. This agreement will see Adidas become the club’s official kit supplier, outfitting Liverpool’s men’s, women’s, and academy teams, as well as LFC Foundation staff.
A Historic Partnership Renewed Liverpool FC Adidas
This collaboration marks the third time that Adidas will provide Liverpool’s kits, following previous partnerships from 1985 to 1996 and 2006 to 2012. During those periods, Liverpool secured major silverware, including three top-flight league titles and three FA Cup wins. The return of Adidas-designed Liverpool kits is significant for many fans, as previous Adidas designs are widely regarded as some of the most iconic in the club’s history.
Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership:
"Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome Adidas back into the LFC family. We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most iconic LFC kits of all time. Adidas and Liverpool share an ambition of success, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner together again as we look forward to creating more incredible kits to help drive on-pitch performance. We’d like to thank Nike for their support over the last five years and wish them well for the future."
Adidas Strengthens Its Presence in Global Football
For Adidas, this deal represents another strategic move in securing top-tier football clubs under its brand. Liverpool joins a roster of elite clubs outfitted by Adidas, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United.
Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, emphasized the importance of this renewed collaboration:
"We are extremely excited that Adidas and Liverpool Football Club are teaming up once again. The club is one of the biggest and most iconic names in world football with a huge fan base. The jerseys worn during previous partnerships are some of the greatest ever created. We are honored to once again provide the players with cutting-edge technology to perform at the highest level and are looking forward to creating more classics for the fans."
What This Means for Liverpool and the Kit Market
This agreement not only strengthens Liverpool’s commercial strategy but also reinforces Adidas’ dominance in the global football apparel market. With Nike having served as Liverpool’s kit supplier since 2020, this switch marks a major shift in the football merchandising landscape. The first Adidas-designed Liverpool kits—home and away—will be officially revealed through club and Adidas channels, with availability for purchase starting August 1, 2025.
