The new facility is based on skills.lab Arena technology, developed by Anton Paar, a company specializing in innovative training systems. The system allows for precise analysis and improvement of football skills through interactive screens and advanced motion sensors. Players can train in simulated match conditions, helping them develop decision-making speed, reaction time, spatial awareness, and cognitive skills essential for modern football.
According to Johannes Taendl, Managing Director of Anton Paar, the integration of skills.lab Arena at LTC represents a significant step for both the club and the company.
“Legia Warsaw is well known for its professional organizational approach and commitment to providing top-class infrastructure for its players and staff. The launch of skills.lab Arena at Legia Training Center is another milestone for both the club and our company. With skills.lab Arena, Legia will be able to develop a greater number of high-quality players for its teams and national representation. We are excited to be part of this journey.”
Strategic Investment in Player Development
Legia Warsaw sees Champions Skills Lab as part of its broader vision for LTC as a training, development, and event destination. The investment follows years of evaluating different technologies and financial planning, with the goal of improving daily training sessions for both senior and academy players.
Tomasz Zahorski, CEO of Legia Training Center, underlined the importance of this addition to the club’s training infrastructure.
“Quality and continuous improvement have been defining features of Legia Training Center since its inception. The opening of Champions Skills Lab is the culmination of years of research into different technologies and investment planning. We believe this facility will add significant value not only for Legia’s teams but also for external partners, clubs, and businesses interested in using our training environment. We have several ideas on how Champions Skills Lab can contribute to LTC’s development as a training and event center.”
Application in Academy Training
Legia Warsaw’s academy has already incorporated decision-making technology into its training philosophy, implementing diagnostic programs such as BrainFirst and cognitive power training. The skills.lab Arena is expected to further enhance these initiatives, providing a structured environment for cognitive skill development.
Marek Śledź, Director of Legia Warsaw’s Football Academy, emphasized that the club has been preparing for the introduction of this technology for nearly two years.
“The Academy’s training foundation is built on decision-making technology. This custom interpretation of tactical periodization guides all of our short-term and long-term development plans. The Skills Lab Arena is among the most advanced tools for cognitive training, which is already part of our daily work. We are well-prepared to use this facility, both in terms of training methodology and personnel. The biggest challenge now is to translate its full potential into improved training quality and performance for our academy players.”
Expanding LTC’s Commercial Offerings
Beyond its application in professional training, Champions Skills Lab will be available to external partners and commercial clients, aligning with LTC’s mission to be a multifunctional training center. The facility is expected to attract football clubs, corporate partners, and individual athletes looking to experience high-level performance training.
With this investment, Legia Warsaw reinforces its commitment to modern training methodologies and the development of young players, integrating cutting-edge technology into its football education system. The introduction of Champions Skills Lab adds to LTC’s already diverse commercial offerings, further establishing the facility as a key destination for football development.
