Inter Milan has announced the launch of Inter Academy Sydney and Inter Academy Adelaide, marking a new phase in the club’s international academy strategy and extending the Nerazzurri youth development model to Australia.

The two projects represent Inter’s first academy presence in the Australian market and form part of a broader long-term initiative to internationalise the club’s youth sector through structured, locally embedded development platforms.

Australia Added to Inter Academy’s Global Footprint Inter Milan

The new academies will deliver football education based on Inter Academy’s official training methodology, while placing parallel emphasis on personal development and education. Activities at both sites are scheduled to begin in April 2026, with direct on-site support from Inter Academy coaches trained in Milan.

Local Partnerships in Sydney and Adelaide

Inter has opted for a partnership-based model, integrating its methodology into existing institutions rather than launching standalone facilities. Inter Academy Sydney has been established in cooperation with Christian Brothers’ High School Lewisham, a long-established educational institution recognised for academic performance, student development and sporting programmes.

Inter Academy Adelaide is being developed together with Adelaide Blue Eagles, a semi-professional club with deep community roots and a focus on youth football in Southern Australia. This structure allows Inter to anchor its academy projects within education-driven and community-based environments, while ensuring long-term sustainability and local relevance.

Executive Comments

Luca Adornato, Brand & Marketing Director at Inter Milan, framed the expansion as a strategic milestone for the global academy network:

“Opening these two Inter Academies in Australia represents an important step in the global growth of our project. Australia has a big passion for football and we are happy to bring our experience and values to them. There is huge potential in the collaboration with CBHS Lewisham and Adelaide Blue Eagles.”

From the Sydney partner’s perspective, Michael Blowes, Principal of CBHS Lewisham, highlighted the educational dimension of the partnership:

“The partnership with Inter Academy gives our students a unique opportunity to follow an international-level football programme within an environment that places education and personal growth at its core.”

Paul Giordano, Secretary of Adelaide Blue Eagles, emphasised the regional development impact:

“With Inter Academy Adelaide, we aim to create valuable pathways for young players, give our coaches exposure to an international methodology, and strengthen the local football community by connecting it to a global network.”

Coaching Standards, Open Access and Community Integration

Inter Academy coaches trained in Milan will oversee the technical framework at both locations, ensuring consistency with Inter’s youth sector standards. Beyond regular academy activity, the programme will include open days and seasonal training camps, allowing broader participation from the local football community.
