Hellas Verona and Veronafiere have announced a new collaboration to support Vinitaly.USA, the international fair dedicated to Italian wine that will take place in Chicago on October 5–6, 2025. The initiative brings together two of Verona’s most prominent institutions — its Serie A football club and its trade fair organization — with the goal of strengthening Italy’s presence in the U.S. market.

To give visibility to the event, Hellas Verona players will wear pre-match sweatshirts featuring the Vinitaly.USA logo ahead of their Serie A fixture against Juventus at the Bentegodi Stadium. The collaboration builds on the club’s growing international profile under American ownership, while also showcasing the synergy between sport and trade promotion.
Event Details
Following the success of its 2024 debut, Vinitaly.USA returns to Chicago’s Navy Pier with an exhibition space of over 10,000 square meters. The fair is organized by Veronafiere-Vinitaly in cooperation with the ITA–Italian Trade Agency, Italian Fairs, and the Italian-American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest.
The 2025 edition is expected to feature 250 exhibitors, including leading Italian brands and regional consortia, providing a platform for companies to meet buyers, distributors, and trade professionals from North and Latin America.
Institutional Perspectives
Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, said:
“This initiative shows how Verona brings together two of its most important institutions – its football team and its trade fair – to look beyond borders. With Hellas Verona, now under American ownership, and with Vinitaly.USA in Chicago, our territory speaks to the U.S. market with a unique and authoritative voice. Wine and football become ambassadors of a city that, thanks to valuable collaborations such as the one that will take the field this Saturday at the Bentegodi, strengthens its international identity.”
Italo Zanzi, Executive Chairman of Hellas Verona, added:
“We are delighted to once again take the field alongside Veronafiere to give visibility to an event that showcases to the whole world some of Italy’s finest excellences, including outstanding companies and businesses from the Verona and Veneto region. Collaborations like this come naturally to us, because as a Club we want to stand close to all entrepreneurial realities that strive to promote Verona, its citizens, and the city’s industrial, productive, and social fabric, even beyond national borders.”
