FC St. Pauli members have voted to reappoint Oke Göttlich as president of the club, confirming him for another term with more than 93% support at the annual general meeting on Saturday. The vote extends Göttlich’s leadership into what will be his final term under club statutes, continuing a presidency that began in 2014.
Alongside Göttlich, vice presidents Luise Gottberg, Hanna Obersteller, and Jochen Winand were also re-elected with similarly high approval ratings, each receiving more than 93–95% of votes cast. The results signal strong member backing for continuity in the club’s governance and strategic direction.
Broad Mandate for Stability and Long-Term Strategy
The re-election comes at a time of significant transformation for FC St. Pauli, both off and on the pitch. Göttlich and the executive team have overseen several major structural initiatives in recent years, including:
The development of FCSP eG, the cooperative that recently acquired majority ownership of the Millerntor-Stadion
Expanded member participation mechanisms
Continued focus on economic consolidation
Strengthening of sporting and administrative structures
Göttlich described the renewed mandate as a commitment from members to further develop these long-term projects.
“We see this re-election as a mandate to continue on the path we have set — together with our members, our departments, and all those who shape this club,” Göttlich said following the vote.
The president also used his report to outline upcoming priorities, including the next phases of stadium development, sustainability initiatives, and improvements in member services.
Leadership Team Confirmed, With One Departure FC St. Pauli
The re-election of three vice presidents ensures leadership stability across the club’s governance bodies:
Luise Gottberg – more than 95% approval
Hanna Obersteller – more than 94%
Jochen Winand – just under 93%
Outgoing vice president Esin Rager, who joined the board in 2021, did not stand for another term. She was thanked by both Göttlich and the supervisory board for her contributions, particularly in the area of sustainability — an increasingly central component of St. Pauli’s club strategy.
