FC Schalke 04 has released the latest edition of its business newsletter, presenting updates on transfers, contract renewals, new commercial partnerships, hospitality developments, and sustainability initiatives.


Sporting and Management Review


Sporting director Frank Baumann reflected on his first 100 days at the club, outlining priorities including the implementation of a clear playing philosophy, new coaching appointments with Miron Muslic and his staff, a focused transfer period with defensive reinforcements, and the renewal of goalkeeper Loris Karius. Baumann emphasised the importance of creating a high-performance culture while also meeting financial targets.


New and Extended Partnerships FC Schalke 04 Business


  • Hegmanns Gruppe: The engineering company, founded in Gelsenkirchen, became Schalke’s official shirt sleeve partner and main partner after years of gradual collaboration.

  • LOTTO24 AG: Signed a new premium partnership until 2026, focusing on brand visibility and community engagement.

  • 1-2-3 Plakat: Extended its long-standing sponsorship as a Top Partner for at least two more years, continuing a relationship dating back to 2013.

  • Vivawest: Extended its partnership until 2029, underlining shared regional roots and solidarity.

  • Gym80: The Gelsenkirchen-based fitness equipment manufacturer joined as a Top Partner until 2027, highlighting Schalke’s link with local industry.


Hospitality Expansion


A new VIP area, the Kumpel Lounge, has opened at the VELTINS-Arena in collaboration with partner goracon. The lounge offers 60 exclusive seats, a matchday menu, a signature drink, and a barista service from partner Imping Kaffee, combining an intimate stadium atmosphere with premium hospitality services.

Sustainability Project


Schalke has joined the “Klimabäume” initiative by the Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR), making it the first professional club in the Ruhr area to participate. The project aims to improve biodiversity on the club’s grounds, aligning with Schalke’s long-term ecological commitments.


Fan and Community Engagement


The club hosted a successful fan summer festival in northern Germany, attended by chairman Matthias Tillmann, who provided insights into the club’s sporting direction, sponsorship strategy, and management structure.
