FC Bayern Munich has signed a long-term partnership with Google, naming Gemini the club's first Official Consumer AI Partner and Google Pixel its Official Smartphone Partner from the start of the 2026/27 season.

The agreement covers both FC Bayern's men's and women's teams and will introduce Google products across digital content, matchday engagement and supporter-facing services.

Gemini Becomes FC Bayern's First Consumer AI Partner Bayern

Gemini will be positioned as an AI tool for supporters before, during and after matches.

The planned applications include information on opponents, tactical analysis, statistics, line-ups and match developments. FC Bayern said the technology will be developed in close collaboration with the club, with experiences available both to supporters attending matches and those following remotely.

The agreement puts generative AI directly into FC Bayern's fan engagement strategy at a time when technology companies are competing to establish consumer use cases for their AI products. For Google, football provides a large and highly engaged audience around which Gemini can demonstrate practical applications that extend beyond general-purpose AI queries.

Google Pixel to Produce Weekly FC Bayern Content

Google Pixel will take a separate role as FC Bayern's Official Smartphone Partner.

The partnership includes weekly behind-the-scenes content distributed through FC Bayern's official channels and Google Pixel platforms.

Planned coverage ranges from player arrivals and everyday moments at Säbener Straße to activity inside the Allianz Arena, kit launches and access around the men's and women's teams.

Pixel Drops Bring FC Bayern Into Google's Product Ecosystem

Google will also introduce FC Bayern-themed features through Pixel Drops. Pixel users will receive free digital assets including personalised FC Bayern wallpapers, custom app icons and additional club-themed features.

The initiative creates a direct link between the football partnership and Google's consumer product ecosystem, placing FC Bayern branding inside supporters' smartphones.

Men's and Women's Teams Included in the Agreement

The partnership covers both sides of FC Bayern's senior football operation. Google Pixel content will feature players from the men's and women's teams, with the club specifically referencing Jamal Musiala and Giulia Gwinn among the players supporters can expect to see through behind-the-scenes coverage.

That structure gives Google access to a broader range of FC Bayern audiences and provides additional content inventory across the season.

Executive Comments

Rouven Kasper, FC Bayern Board Member for Marketing and Sales, said the agreement will combine exclusive digital content with AI-powered information as the club develops new ways for supporters to interact with its teams.

Dr. Anne-Katrin Hübel, Senior Director Marketing at Google DACH, said Gemini and Pixel will be used to make football experiences more personalised, creative and accessible for FC Bayern supporters.
