Enel has signed a new partnership with AC Milan, becoming the club’s Premium Partner and Official Energy Partner. The agreement, announced on November 17, positions the utility provider as the latest major corporate entrant into AC Milan’s commercial ecosystem, with a focus on sustainability and energy transition.

The collaboration aligns with Enel’s broader strategic push into Italian football, where the company has steadily expanded its network of partnerships across multiple Serie A clubs. With this move, Enel strengthens its position as the most active energy-sector sponsor in the league, continuing a trend of large utilities using football as a platform to communicate energy efficiency, electrification and environmental responsibility.

A Partnership Built on Sustainability Messaging Enel AC Milan

According to both parties, the agreement is framed around values linked to sustainability, responsible behaviour and community engagement. While no specific activation roadmap has been detailed, the partnership is expected to include visibility at AC Milan’s home matches and targeted campaigns focused on energy awareness.

The collaboration will officially debut on November 29 during AC Milan’s home match against Lazio. From that point onward, Enel branding will accompany the club across home fixtures in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Part of Enel’s Expanding Football Sponsorship Strategy

The partnership reinforces Enel’s growing presence in the sports sponsorship market. The company already works with several top-tier Italian clubs, making it one of the most commercially active energy groups in Serie A. The deal with AC Milan adds a high-visibility partner with global reach, but it also signals Enel’s intention to use football as a national platform for promoting themes tied to renewable energy, electrification and consumer education.

Commercial and Strategic Context

For AC Milan, the agreement adds another corporate partner to the club’s sponsorship tier ecosystem, which has expanded in recent seasons in line with rising commercial demand. The partnership also reflects the increasing integration of sustainability narratives into sponsorship deals, as clubs and brands adapt to regulatory pressure, ESG expectations and public scrutiny around environmental impact.
