Wrexham A.F.C. has confirmed a return to the United States for its 2026 summer tour, scheduling three matches on the U.S. East Coast as part of the Summer Soccer Series promoted by TEG Sport.
The tour marks Wrexham’s third visit to the U.S. market and its first since 2024, continuing the club’s strategy of building international visibility through preseason fixtures against globally recognised opponents.
Three Matches Across Major U.S. Venues Wrexham AFC
The tour will feature matches against three English clubs:
• Leeds United
• Liverpool F.C.
• Sunderland A.F.C.
The series will begin on July 25 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, where Wrexham will face Leeds United. Wrexham will then travel to New York to play Liverpool at Yankee Stadium on July 29. The tour concludes on August 2 at Subaru Park in Philadelphia, where Wrexham will face Sunderland AFC.
U.S. Market as Growth Platform
Preseason tours in North America have become an important commercial lever for clubs seeking to expand international fanbases and sponsorship visibility.
For Wrexham, whose global profile has grown rapidly in recent years, the U.S. has emerged as a key international market. Previous tours have generated strong attendance figures and broadcast exposure, particularly following the club’s increased visibility through international media coverage and documentary-driven storytelling.
Facing established Premier League opponents also provides competitive visibility while aligning the tour with broader promotional frameworks used across European football’s preseason calendar. The fixtures form part of the Summer Soccer Series, a preseason event platform designed to bring European clubs to U.S. markets during the offseason.
