Venezia FC and the City of Venice have signed a 40-year concession agreement for the management of the club's new 18,500-seat stadium, with Venezia committing a total investment of €125 million over the duration of the agreement.

The venue, located in the Tessera area of Mestre, forms part of the wider Bosco dello Sport development and is scheduled to open during the second half of the 2027/28 season.

The agreement, signed on October 26, covers stadium equipment and improvements required to complete the facility, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, and concession payments to the municipality.

€125 Million Commitment Over 40 Years Venezia FC

Under the concession agreement, Venezia FC will manage the new stadium for four decades, taking responsibility for its operation and maintenance.

The €125 million commitment covers several expenditure categories throughout the concession period, including facility improvements, ongoing maintenance and the concession fee.

The figure represents the club's total contractual investment commitment and should not be interpreted solely as the stadium's construction cost.

The agreement establishes a long-term operational arrangement between Venezia FC and the municipality, with the club assuming responsibility for managing the venue once it becomes operational.

New Stadium to Accommodate 18,500 Spectators

The stadium will accommodate up to 18,500 spectators for football matches, providing Venezia FC with a new home within the Bosco dello Sport development.

The venue is also designed to host concerts, festivals and other major cultural and entertainment events, allowing it to operate beyond the football calendar.

The development is located in Tessera, within the Mestre area of Venice, and forms part of the city's wider investment in sports and entertainment infrastructure.

"Bosco dello Sport will be our new home: an innovative, inclusive and sustainable stadium built to the highest international standards," said Francesca Bodie, President of Venezia FC.

Bodie added that the venue is intended to operate throughout the year, bringing together sport, culture and entertainment.

Opening Targeted for the 2027/28 Season

The stadium is expected to open during the second half of the 2027/28 football season, marking a major infrastructure development for Venezia FC.

Venice Mayor Simone Venturini described the agreement as the beginning of a long-term partnership between the municipality and the club.

The concession gives Venezia FC a defined 40-year operating framework for the new facility, including responsibility for maintenance and improvements over the agreement's duration.

The signing represents a key contractual milestone ahead of the stadium's planned opening, with the venue expected to become a year-round destination for football, concerts and other events.
