Chelsea Football Club has announced the long-term renewal and expansion of its global merchandise partnership with Fanatics, a digital sports platform and leading global provider of licensed sports apparel and goods. Strategic Extension Based on Proven Performance Chelsea FC Fanatics
The extended deal will see Fanatics continue to operate Chelsea’s global e-commerce operations, with additional rights granted to design and manufacture bespoke fan apparel. Leveraging Fanatics’ in-house design capabilities and vertically integrated supply chain, the new partnership aims to bring more premium, exclusive, and tailored merchandise to Chelsea’s international fanbase.
Since the partnership began in 2018, Chelsea’s online merchandise sales have grown significantly each year, reflecting the club’s global reach and Fanatics’ operational scale. In 2024 alone, Chelsea merchandise was shipped to fans in over 130 countries, underscoring the importance of international e-commerce as a core revenue stream for the club.
Launch of a New Online Shopping Platform
A key component of the renewed partnership is the launch of a fully upgraded Chelsea online store. The new digital platform incorporates artificial intelligence to enhance product recommendations, imagery, and search capabilities, while also supporting faster checkout processes, multi-language functionality, and a broader range of payment options.
Fanatics and Chelsea are positioning this new platform as a central hub for personalized fan engagement. In addition to core merchandise, the store will offer exclusive products tied to memorable on-pitch moments, enabled by Fanatics’ agile supply chain infrastructure.
