Atlético de San Luis has announced the renaming of its home stadium to Estadio Libertad Financiera, effective from January 2026, marking a new phase in the club’s commercial and institutional development. The venue, previously known as Estadio Alfonso Lastras, will now carry the name of Libertad Financiera following a strategic partnership between the two organisations.

The decision places Atlético de San Luis among a growing number of Liga MX clubs using stadium naming rights as a long-term revenue and brand-alignment tool rather than a purely symbolic sponsorship.

Naming Rights as a Commercial Growth Lever Atlético de San Luis

For Atlético de San Luis, the agreement represents a step toward diversifying commercial revenues while strengthening ties with a locally rooted financial partner. While financial terms have not been disclosed, the club framed the partnership as a strategic alliance designed to support sporting, social and commercial objectives over time.

The renaming will be accompanied by a phased transition plan, including updates to visual identity, communication assets and in-stadium branding. The club also indicated that fan-facing activations and engagement initiatives will form part of the rollout, reflecting the need to manage naming rights transitions beyond contractual execution.
