Arsenal FC has signed a new multi-year partnership with Airwallex, appointing the global payments and financial services platform as the club’s Official Finance Software Partner. The agreement includes brand rights, pre-season sponsorship, and collaboration on operational financial infrastructure.
The partnership is part of Arsenal’s broader commercial strategy to modernize internal processes and strengthen international revenue-generating activities, particularly in Asia-Pacific markets, where Airwallex has an established presence.
Pre-Season Integration and Global Visibility
As part of the agreement, Airwallex becomes the Presenting Partner of Arsenal’s 2025 men’s pre-season tour across East Asia, giving the fintech company visibility across all activations during the tour.
In addition to promotional rights, Airwallex’s financial services will be integrated into Arsenal’s pre-season operations, including areas like payment gateways, with the long-term goal of enhancing efficiency across the club’s commercial platforms.
The company also retains the right to use branding from Arsenal’s men’s and women’s first teams, and will activate matchday content for fans at Emirates Stadium during Premier League and Women’s Super League fixtures.
Operational Alignment: Fintech in Football Arsenal Airwallex
The partnership signals a growing trend of fintech providers entering professional football not only as sponsors but as operational collaborators. Airwallex will support Arsenal’s internal finance operations by streamlining payment infrastructure and cost efficiencies.

For Airwallex, the deal with Arsenal enhances its brand visibility in global sport, particularly in the UK and European football market. The company, which recently completed a $6.2 billion valuation as part of a Series F funding round, has steadily expanded its customer base in Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas.
