1. FC Nürnberg has signed a new sponsorship and performance partnership agreement with toolcraft AG, a high-tech manufacturing company headquartered in Georgensgmünd, Middle Franconia. The partnership begins with the 2025/26 season, with toolcraft becoming the new main shirt sponsor of the men's first team competing in the 2. Bundesliga.

The agreement goes beyond traditional front-of-shirt branding, with both parties confirming a long-term strategic collaboration aimed at joint performance development, knowledge exchange, and innovation in areas such as marketing, data analytics, and inclusion.

Technology Meets Football: Shared Values and Regional Identity

Founded in 1989 by Bernd Krebs, toolcraft AG has grown from a small workshop into an internationally active company specializing in metal 3D printing, robotics, and advanced manufacturing solutions for industries such as aerospace, semiconductors, medical technology, and motorsport. With over 500 employees—many of them local fans—the company maintains deep ties to the region and grassroots football.

“This partnership combines two strong teams with shared values and ambitions,” said Charly Nüßlein, Board Member for HR and Production at toolcraft AG. “Teamwork, resilience, and striving for excellence—on and off the pitch—are at the core of what both organizations represent.”

  • Marketing and sales innovation

  • Knowledge sharing in data analytics and performance methodology

  • Ongoing support for youth development and regional community engagement

The toolcraft logo will feature prominently on the home, away, and third kits throughout the season, while the company will also support CSR and inclusion-based programs, reflecting its internal values of accessibility and sustainability. 1. FC Nürnberg toolcraft

Long-Term Vision and Local Commitment

Niels Rossow, Executive Board Member for Strategy and Marketing at 1. FC Nürnberg, described the partnership as a natural fit due to shared roots and long-term alignment:

“Toolcraft represents world-class innovation from our region. Their commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and the local football community reflects exactly the values we aim to promote.”

The two parties have outlined a vision that extends beyond the current season, with discussions already in place to explore joint innovation initiatives and possible involvement in the club’s youth academy and digital transformation projects.
