SV Werder Bremen is pleased to announce the extension of its long-standing partnership with energy service providers EWE and SWB. The collaboration has been renewed until 2027, marking a continued commitment to shared goals and regional engagement.

A Strong Partnership Continues Werder Bremen EWE

EWE AG will remain a TOP Partner and Energy Partner of the Green-Whites, while SWB continues as a TEAM11 Partner. The partnership will maintain its significant presence at Weserstadion and across Werder Bremen’s digital platforms. Key initiatives under this partnership include the continuation of the EWE Cup, one of Northern Germany’s largest youth football tournament series, and the distribution of “Werder-Strom” – 100% green electricity, which rewards Werder fans with a €1 bonus for every goal scored by the team.

“EWE and SWB are not just partners; they are part of our extended family. Our collaboration, built on trust and forward-thinking initiatives, is evident in projects like the Weserstadion’s photovoltaic system,” said Klaus Filbry, CEO of Werder Bremen. “We share a passion for Bundesliga football and a deep connection to our region. I am delighted that we are continuing our partnership for the long term.”

Shared Values and Goals

Stefan Dohler, CEO of EWE AG, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “Werder Bremen is a beacon of sport in our region. The club’s positive image and mission align perfectly with the EWE brand, particularly Werder’s diverse community engagement and regional loyalty. We are excited to extend our over 20-year successful collaboration with Werder Bremen alongside our subsidiary SWB.”

Enhancing Community and Sustainability

The EWE Cup continues to foster young talent in Northern Germany, providing a platform for future football stars. Meanwhile, “Werder-Strom” supports eco-friendly energy consumption, rewarding fans for their dedication to the club and the environment.
