TSV 1860 München has announced a new partnership with Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH, designating the Austrian tourism board as an official LöwenPartner for the 2025/26 season. The agreement builds on the success of the club’s recent summer training camp in Ulrichsberg, a town located in the scenic Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria.
Strengthening Football-Tourism Synergies
The collaboration was developed in partnership with Tourismusverband Mühlviertel and event organizer Onside Austria, following what was widely viewed as a successful pre-season training experience for the team and traveling fans alike.
“We are pleased to have once again convinced one of Germany’s great traditional clubs to hold their summer training camp in Upper Austria,” said Christoph Glasner, Head of Marketing at Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH.“By deepening this partnership, we are confident that we can attract even more guests from Munich and its surroundings to visit us in Upper Austria.”
Shared Values and Regional Identity TSV 1860 München Oberösterreich Tourismus
The initiative is seen as a natural extension of cultural and historical ties between Austria and the greater Munich area. Both parties emphasized shared values such as authenticity, community, and regional pride.
“The TSV 1860 brand stands for authenticity and tradition—values that perfectly align with what our region represents,” said Markus Obermüller, Managing Director of Destination Mühlviertel.“We see great potential in making the club a regular guest for future training camps.”
He added: “Between the many Austrian fan clubs traveling to Munich and the shared history of players and coaches, there has always been a strong connection.”
Fan Engagement and Pre-Season Momentum
The training camp drew one of the largest fan turnouts in years, underlining the emotional connection between the club and its supporters, even outside league competition.
“We are very proud of the success of the training camp, which was attended by more fans than we’ve seen in years,” said Georg Hochedlinger, Director of Marketing and Sales at TSV 1860 München.“The support, combined with excellent facilities and a well-organized program, made the experience unforgettable for our fans.”
