Real Betis Balompié has renewed its partnership with Fontarel, the natural mineral water brand owned by Hijos de Rivera, ensuring the company’s role as the club’s official water provider through the 2026/27 season. This extended collaboration, which began in the 2017/18 season, highlights the club’s commitment to maintaining strong, long-term relationships with its partners.

Under the renewed agreement, Fontarel will continue to supply water to all Real Betis athletes during training sessions and competitive matches, ensuring high-quality hydration for the team. The partnership also extends to the club's VIP areas at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, where Fontarel water will be available to guests, reinforcing the brand’s visibility within the stadium.

This partnership reflects the strong bond between the club and Fontarel, as the two entities approach a decade of collaboration. The renewal demonstrates the loyalty and trust of Real Betis’ sponsors, with over 95% of the club's commercial partners extending their agreements each season, highlighting the confidence these brands have in the club's ongoing projects and its business appeal.

Commitment to Sustainability and Environmental Goals

Fontarel’s parent company, Hijos de Rivera, is deeply committed to environmental sustainability, aligning with Real Betis’ Forever Green initiative. This program, spearheaded by the club, aims to combat climate change through various sustainability projects, with Fontarel pledging to play a key role in helping Real Betis achieve its environmental objectives.

As a certified BCorp company, Fontarel is focused on creating a positive impact through responsible business practices. José Villanueva, the global head of sports sponsorships at Hijos de Rivera, emphasized the alignment between Fontarel’s values and Real Betis' sustainability mission: “We are proud to continue this partnership with Real Betis, a club that shares our values, particularly the commitment to sustainability and positive societal impact."

Fontarel: A Premium Water from a Unique Source

Fontarel is a natural mineral water with low mineralization, ideal for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. The water is sourced from the Manantial El Pilar, located in the heart of the Sierra Gorda in Loja, Granada, a region known for its pristine water resources. The protected 3,300 m² area surrounding the spring ensures the water remains free from impurities, contributing to its recognition as a high-quality mineral water since 1999.

The geographic location of the spring, on the border between Málaga and Granada, adds value to the brand, offering consumers water sourced from one of the most privileged natural environments in southern Spain. Hijos de Rivera has made significant investments in the bottling plant and environmental protection around the spring, ensuring the preservation of these natural resources for future generations.

Looking Ahead: A Strong and Sustainable Future

This renewed agreement not only cements Fontarel’s position as the official water provider for Real Betis but also strengthens both organizations’ shared commitment to sustainability and long-term success. Juan Useros, Real Betis’ General Business Director, expressed his satisfaction with the continued partnership: “This renewal reinforces a relationship based on mutual trust and commitment. We are confident that this collaboration will continue to be mutually beneficial in the years to come."
