Olympique de Marseille has introduced a new club logo and visual identity, marking a strategic update designed to align heritage with contemporary brand requirements across sport, media and commercial platforms.


The rebranding reflects a broader effort to create a more adaptable and unified visual system, capable of operating across multiple touchpoints including matchday, digital environments and global merchandising.


A Heritage-Led Redesign Olympique de Marseille


The new logo is built on a combination of elements drawn from different eras of the club’s visual history, integrating references from designs dating back to 1899, 1973, 1986 and 1993. This approach positions the redesign as an evolution rather than a reinvention, maintaining continuity with the club’s identity while simplifying and modernising its graphical structure. The objective is to retain recognisable features while improving clarity and scalability across contemporary applications.


Creation of a Distinctive Colour and Typographic System


A key component of the new identity is the introduction of a custom colour tone, “Bleu Marseille”, developed by combining historical club colours with visual references associated with the city itself.

The typography has also been redesigned to reflect both archival influences and the cultural identity of Marseille, creating a consistent visual language that can be applied across different formats.


Designed for Multi-Platform and Commercial Use


The new identity has been developed with flexibility as a central requirement.


The logo can be adapted across different contexts, including:

• sporting use, incorporating the star and club motto

• institutional and digital applications

• pattern-based and colour variations for merchandising


Alongside the new logo, Olympique de Marseille has launched a redesigned official website. The updated platform focuses on improved usability, content presentation and supporter experience, aligning digital infrastructure with the club’s new visual identity.
