The Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) has forged a significant partnership with VfB Stuttgart. Starting from the 2024/2025 season, LBBW will support the VfB youth teams as their jersey sponsor and also become an exclusive partner of the club. This collaboration marks the beginning of a new era in youth development and regional engagement.

A Strong Team for Big Goals LBBW VfB Stuttgart

Great goals and top-notch performances can only be achieved through teamwork. VfB Stuttgart and LBBW, two organizations known for their performance, passion, and ambitions, have joined forces to combine their strengths. From the new season, the Landesbank will sponsor the team in the 3rd league as well as all teams in the Youth Performance Center (NLZ) of VfB Stuttgart. On August 3rd, LBBW will make its debut on the U21 team's jerseys in their opening game in the 3rd league.

"We are proud to welcome LBBW as our new partner – a leading financial institution with deep regional roots. Together, we want to write more chapters of success and start with our most important project: the continuous support of our youth in the NLZ," said Alexander Wehrle, Chairman of VfB.

Support for Youth and Regional Connection

The partnership between LBBW and VfB Stuttgart sends a strong signal for the region. LBBW will not only be a sponsor but also an exclusive partner of the club, joining a list of prestigious companies like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, MHP, and JAKO.

"VfB stands for strong youth development and passionate attacking football. This was impressively demonstrated by the U21 team with their promotion to the 3rd league. We are proud to be featured on the players' chests because youth development is the foundation of success. We want to further strengthen this and accompany VfB on its promising path," said Rainer Neske, Chairman of LBBW.

Diverse Collaboration and Future Initiatives

The partnership will be fruitful on many levels. In addition to the main youth partnership, numerous activations, content, and products are planned to be developed with LBBW and brought to life with the fans. "With LBBW, we have been able to significantly expand our partner structure with internationally renowned top brands in our region within the financial sector," said Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing and Sales at VfB. "We look forward to a variety of activations, content, and products that we will develop with LBBW and bring to life with the fans. LBBW and VfB will play a strong partnership on many levels, such as CSR, employer branding, customer loyalty, and brand building, in the spirit of 'from the region, for the region, and beyond.'"

LBBW: Deeply Connected to the Region

LBBW is Germany's largest Landesbank, headquartered in Stuttgart. Through BW-Bank, it also functions as a savings bank in the state capital and has traditionally been deeply connected to the region and its economy. Rainer Neske emphasizes: "Banks have always been committed to the people and businesses in their region. Our collaboration with VfB and the other strong partners of the club underscores this. For many of them, we have been a reliable financial partner for years, whether for the domestic market or abroad."

Since its founding more than 200 years ago, LBBW has taken on societal responsibility in various ways. It not only supports sports but also promotes numerous projects in the fields of environment, art, and education through its independent foundation. The company's art collection is one of the most renowned of its kind in Germany. Additionally, the bank supports selected projects and institutions in its business area, including the Stuttgart Art Museum, the Stuttgart State Opera, and the National Theatre Mannheim.
