La Liga has announced a new all-time attendance record for the 2025/26 season, with more than 11.69 million spectators attending matches across Spain’s top division.
The league reported total attendance of 11,693,679 fans during the campaign, representing a 4.2% increase compared to the previous season and establishing the highest figure in LALIGA history.
The record comes despite several clubs continuing to operate under stadium capacity restrictions due to redevelopment projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Occupancy Rates Reach Historic Highs LALIGA
Beyond total attendance, LALIGA also recorded a new all-time stadium occupancy record.
According to the league, average occupancy reached 84.9% across the season, while average attendance climbed to 31,018 spectators per match — the highest level recorded since the 2014/15 campaign.
The figures suggest that demand for live football experiences continues to grow despite increasing competition from digital entertainment and alternative leisure activities.

Infrastructure Investments Continue Across Spanish Football
The attendance milestone is particularly notable because several major stadiums were operating with reduced capacity during the season.
Among the affected venues were:
• Spotify Camp Nou, where FC Barcelona continues redevelopment works,
• Coliseum, home of Getafe CF,
• and ABANCA Balaídos, home of RC Celta.
Across Spanish football, stadium investments have become increasingly important as clubs seek to improve hospitality offerings, premium seating, fan experience and non-matchday revenue generation.
