Inter has announced the launch of its first Inter Academy Camp in Romania, marking the club’s entry into a new market as part of its international youth development strategy.
The initiative extends Inter’s academy model into Eastern Europe, using short-term training programmes to build local presence, engage young players and strengthen the club’s global footprint.
Entering a New Market Through Academy Programmes Inter Milan
The Romania launch represents Inter’s first structured academy activity in the country, positioning the club within a region with growing interest in youth football development. The camps will take place in Câmpulung Moldovenesc between June and July 2026, with two sessions designed to accommodate up to 200 participants in total. This format allows the club to test market potential while maintaining controlled delivery of its training methodology.
Exporting Training Methodology Beyond Italy
Inter Academy Camps are built around the club’s established development model, combining technical training, tactical understanding and structured coaching principles. For the Romania programme, Inter will deploy coaches directly from Milan, ensuring consistency in delivery and maintaining alignment with the club’s internal standards.
Youth Development as a Global Engagement Tool
The camps are open to players born between 2012 and 2018, targeting early-stage development and engagement.
Beyond sporting objectives, such programmes serve multiple strategic functions:
• introducing the club to new audiences
• building early relationships with players and families
• creating entry points for long-term fan engagement
By operating within local environments while maintaining a connection to the club’s identity, academy camps act as a bridge between grassroots football and global brand development.
