Girona FC has announced the renewal of its long-standing partnership with CaixaBank, confirming the financial institution as the club’s official sponsor and financial partner until the end of the 2028/29 season. The agreement extends a collaboration that began in 2010 and will reach 19 consecutive seasons by the conclusion of the contract.

Agreement Details Girona FC CaixaBank

The renewal was formalised at Montilivi by Delfí Geli, president of Girona FC, and Josep Mª González, CaixaBank’s territorial director in Catalonia. The deal continues CaixaBank’s role as a financial services partner for Girona supporters, including:

  • Issuance of personalised Visa contactless bank cards featuring Girona FC’s colours and crest, offering exclusive experiences such as matches for clients at the club’s official facilities.

  • Delivery of financial education sessions for the first team squad and coaching staff, covering savings, investment, and financial planning.

  • Joint initiatives for fans, including Meet & Greet events with players, prize draws, and promotions through Girona’s official channels.

Fan and Client Engagement

The partnership is designed to bring Girona FC closer to its supporters while reinforcing CaixaBank’s position as the “bank of football clubs” in Spain. The agreement also includes:

  • Branding rights across Girona FC’s facilities and communication channels

  • Hospitality packages for clients

  • Rights to conduct CSR activations with local social organisations

Strategic Context

CaixaBank’s sponsorship strategy has made it a leading financial brand in Spanish football. The bank is an official sponsor of 13 Primera División clubs, 14 Segunda División clubs, and 9 of 16 women’s top-flight teams.

For Girona FC, the renewal ensures continuity with a partner that has been part of the club’s recent rise in Spanish football. For CaixaBank, it strengthens its national footprint and underscores its role as a financial services provider connected to football communities.
