Chiellini joins the FIGC Board alongside Inter President Giuseppe Marotta, Udinese Vice President Stefano Campoccia, and Lega Serie A President Ezio Simonelli, forming the new group of Serie A representatives within Italy’s football governing body.

From the Pitch to the Boardroom

Widely regarded as one of the defining Italian defenders of his generation, Chiellini captained both Juventus and the Italian national team, leading Italy to victory at UEFA Euro 2020 and winning nine Serie A titles with Juventus. Giorgio Chiellini FIGC

After retiring from professional football in 2023 following his stint at LAFC in Major League Soccer, Chiellini transitioned into a strategic executive role at Juventus. As Director of Football Strategy, he focuses on football operations, long-term sporting development, and institutional relations.

As part of the FIGC’s Federal Council, Chiellini will contribute to discussions on policy, regulation, and development strategies shaping the future of Italian football, bringing both the perspective of an experienced player and that of a club executive.
