FOX Latin America has secured a five-year media rights agreement with DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, consolidating its position as the primary broadcaster of the Bundesliga across Mexico and Central America from the 2026–27 season through 2030–31.

The agreement includes a comprehensive rights package covering 309 matches per season, equating to more than 600 hours of live content annually. The package encompasses every Bundesliga matchday, the Supercup and the promotion/relegation play-offs.

Multi-Platform Distribution Across Nine Markets Bundesliga

The deal grants FOX distribution rights across multiple broadcast models:

• FOX (pay TV)

• FOX ONE (SVOD)

• FOX on Tubi (AVOD)

Coverage will extend across Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic, with broadcasts available in both Spanish and English.

Localised Production Strategy in Guadalajara

A key differentiator in the agreement is the integration of the Bundesliga Americas Studio, based in Guadalajara and operational since February 2025. The studio develops region-specific content, Spanish-language formats and localised storytelling designed to increase audience engagement beyond live match coverage.

The 14-person production team will collaborate closely with FOX to tailor editorial output for Mexican and Central American audiences, reinforcing a strategy centred on localisation rather than simple content export.

Bundesliga Americas has also expanded its digital footprint in the region through Spanish-language social media accounts (@BundesligaES), positioning digital growth alongside broadcast expansion.
