Arsenal has signed a multi-year agreement with Zilch, a UK-based consumer payments platform, naming the company the club’s Official Way to Pay. The partnership marks Zilch’s first-ever entry into sports sponsorship, reflecting the growing intersection between Premier League football and consumer fintech.
The collaboration spans both the men’s and women’s teams and will introduce Zilch’s flexible payment solutions across Arsenal’s retail ecosystem — online and in-store. The agreement positions Arsenal among the Premier League clubs most active in integrating financial-technology partners into their commercial operations and fan-engagement models.
Zilch Enters the Sports Market With High-Visibility Activation
To launch the partnership, Zilch is allocating £50,000 directly to Arsenal supporters through a promotional activation on Arsenal Direct. The first 1,000 supporters to make a qualifying online purchase on November 21 receive £50 off purchases over £50, effectively enabling cost-neutral merchandise acquisition during the campaign window.
The activation reflects Zilch’s strategy of positioning its platform as a reward-based alternative to traditional credit and instalment-payment systems. According to internal research cited by the company, 75% of football supporters say that regularly purchasing official shirts enhances their connection to the club — an insight Zilch has incorporated into its launch benefits.
Benefits for Supporters Integrated Into Arsenal’s Retail and Matchday Operation Arsenal Zilch
Beyond the introductory promotion, supporters will gain access to ongoing benefits including:
• up to 10% discounts at The Armoury, Arsenal’s flagship retail store,
• opportunities to win match tickets,
• access to exclusive merchandise drops,
• hospitality experiences,
• and select player-interaction or stadium-tour opportunities.
These benefits indicate that Arsenal intends to integrate Zilch into its broader retail and loyalty infrastructure rather than limiting the partnership to digital payment solutions alone.
