Al Ahly SC has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Shell Egypt for another four years, extending a commercial relationship that began more than 12 years ago and is set to reach its 16th year.

The renewal is part of a wider commercial programme covering the 2026/27 through 2029/30 seasons, during which Al Ahly Football Company has secured extensions to 10 sponsorship and commercial partnerships.

According to Al Ahly Football Company CEO Nayera Ali, the renewed agreements achieved an average increase of approximately 120% in partnership value.

The four-year extension continues Shell's sponsorship of one of Africa's most successful football clubs.

The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony attended by Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib, Ayman Fathy, chairman of Al Ahly Football Company, and Haitham Yehia, chairman and CEO of Shell Lubricants.

Nayera Ali signed on behalf of Al Ahly Football Company, while Shell was represented by Samir Mahgoub, its marketing manager for the Middle East, Egypt and Central Asia.

Al Ahly Secures 10 Commercial Renewals Through 2030

The Shell agreement forms part of a broader round of sponsorship renewals covering four consecutive seasons through 2029/30.

Nayera Ali confirmed that Al Ahly Football Company had renewed 10 sponsorship and commercial partnerships, with an average increase of approximately 120% in their value.

The reported increase refers to the renewed agreements collectively and does not establish the value or percentage increase of Shell's individual contract.

The figures indicate a substantial uplift in the club's renewed commercial agreements, although Al Ahly has not published a breakdown by sponsor or category.

The latest Shell extension secures the continuation of one of Al Ahly's longest-standing international sponsorship relationships through the 2029/30 season.
