Tottenham Hotspur and The Players Fund have launched Hotspur Labs, a venture programme for technology companies at Series A stage and beyond.
Tottenham said it is the first programme of its kind at a Premier League club. Selected companies will be given access to the club to develop, validate and scale their products using relevant Tottenham assets.
The programme will accept companies across multiple venture categories. Tottenham has not disclosed the size of the first cohort, participating companies, financial commitments or whether the programme will include direct investment.
Hotspur Labs Targets Series A and Later-Stage Companies Tottenham
Hotspur Labs is specifically aimed at companies at Series A and beyond, distinguishing it from programmes focused on early-stage startups.
Applications are not restricted to sports technology.
Tottenham and The Players Fund will select companies from sectors where the club has assets that could support product development or commercial growth, and where the participating company can provide a relevant product or service to Tottenham or its supporters.
The programme will provide selected businesses with direct access to Tottenham as an operating environment. Companies will be able to use relevant club assets to build, validate and scale their products. The exact structure will vary according to the company and use case.
