SSC Napoli has announced a new strategic partnership with BPER Banca, naming the financial institution as the club’s Official Banking Partner through the 2026–27 season. The agreement marks a significant step in Napoli’s commercial development strategy, combining digital banking innovation with tailored fan engagement.
The deal, announced on May 9, 2025, will see BPER integrate its services with Napoli’s fan ecosystem through custom payment cards, stadium visibility, and a joint focus on lifestyle experiences that extend beyond matchday.
Banking Meets Football: A Lifestyle Integration Strategy
Under the partnership, BPER will launch an exclusive range of Napoli-branded payment cards. These cards are designed not only as financial tools, but as gateways to privileged experiences, seamlessly connected to the club’s digital platforms. The offering is positioned as a lifestyle product, aligning fans’ day-to-day routines with the Napoli brand.
The cards will be linked with Napoli’s upcoming Membership platform, offering additional benefits such as access to events, discounts, and loyalty rewards — creating a direct pipeline between financial engagement and fan loyalty.
Visibility and Multi-Channel Activation SSC Napoli BPER
The BPER brand will feature across all home matches at Stadio Maradona, including pitchside LED boards, interview backdrops, and both online and offline club communication channels. This guarantees high-frequency visibility for the bank and allows the brand to embed itself into the club’s matchday identity.
“This partnership is an opportunity to create banking products that reflect Napoli’s values,” said Stefano Vittorio Kuhn, Chief Retail and Commercial Banking Officer at BPER. “We want to offer financial solutions that are both functional and emotionally resonant for fans.”
Commercial Implications and Industry Trends
For SSC Napoli, the deal represents a continuation of its fan-centric digital transformation. According to Tommaso Bianchini, Chief Revenue Officer at SSC Napoli, the club is entering a new phase of business development, with innovation at the core of all upcoming marketing initiatives.
This partnership follows a growing trend in European football where banks and fintech platforms use sports partnerships to access deeply loyal fan communities, particularly in regions with strong local identity like Naples. For clubs, the integration of embedded finance is a tool to generate non-matchday revenue and to deepen digital connectivity with supporters.
