Manchester City has announced a new multi-year partnership with Revolut, naming the global fintech platform as the club’s Official Back-of-Shirt Partner for both the men’s and women’s first teams.
The agreement expands Revolut’s existing relationship with Manchester City Women, which began in January 2025, and formally integrates the fintech brand into the club’s primary commercial inventory across select competitions.
Shirt Inventory Across Domestic Competitions Manchester City
Under the new deal, the Revolut logo will appear on the back of the men’s first-team shirts in domestic cup matches, while also featuring on Manchester City Women’s kits in Women’s Super League and cup fixtures. Selected training wear will also carry the branding.
Fintech Integration Beyond Branding
The partnership goes beyond kit visibility and includes operational and digital integration. Revolut Business will be incorporated into elements of the club’s financial infrastructure, with the stated aim of improving operational efficiency and fan-facing transactions.
Future implementation of Revolut Pay, the company’s checkout solution, is also planned. This would allow supporters to use Revolut’s payment tools across club touchpoints while earning loyalty rewards.
Additionally, Revolut has launched four co-branded virtual cards within its app, available to customers across the UK and Europe, marking the first activation under the expanded partnership.
Fan Engagement and Commercial Activations
A calendar of activations is scheduled throughout the agreement, building on previous matchday takeovers and campaign-led initiatives delivered during the earlier partnership phase with Manchester City Women.
The structure reflects a broader fintech sponsorship model increasingly seen in elite football: combining shirt visibility with digital payments, loyalty mechanics, and in-app engagement.
Executive Comments
Peter Laundy, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at City Football Group, said the expansion reflects the success of the initial women’s partnership and positions Revolut for broader activation within men’s football.
Antoine Le Nel, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Revolut, stated that the agreement moves beyond logo placement, aiming to integrate financial services into the fan experience.
