FC Schalke 04 has signed Polish power generator and energy solutions manufacturer FOGO as a new Exclusive Partner, giving the family-owned company a football platform to support its expansion in Germany and other European markets.

The initial agreement runs until June 30, 2028 and includes an option for an additional year, subject to Schalke avoiding relegation.

For FOGO, the sponsorship forms part of a broader strategy to establish its brand more firmly outside Poland. The company is positioning Germany as an important market within that international expansion, while Schalke offers both national visibility and a geographic connection through the Ruhr region's longstanding links with Poland.

FOGO Targets German and European Expansion Schalke

The commercial rationale for the partnership centres on FOGO's international growth.

The Polish company manufactures power generators and provides broader energy solutions, and sees the Schalke agreement as a vehicle for increasing recognition beyond its domestic market. Germany is specifically identified as one of the markets in which FOGO wants to strengthen its position.

For a business expanding internationally, a football partnership can provide brand exposure while also creating opportunities around corporate relationships and market positioning. Schalke gives FOGO access to an established German football brand with a large supporter base and significant recognition beyond Gelsenkirchen.

The club similarly described FOGO as a company with ambitions across both Germany and the wider European market.

Polish Connection Adds Another Layer to the Deal

The partnership also carries a geographic and cultural dimension.

FOGO highlighted the historic connections between Schalke and Poland, including Polish players who have represented the club and the Polish heritage of parts of the population in Germany's Ruhr region.

That provides the sponsorship with a narrative beyond conventional brand exposure.

For FOGO, a Polish family-owned company seeking greater visibility in Germany, Schalke offers a platform in a region where Polish-German connections are particularly established.

The relationship therefore combines international market expansion with a degree of local relevance in Schalke's home region.

Agreement Runs Through 2028 With Extension Option

FOGO joins Schalke at Exclusive Partner level under an initial agreement covering the remainder of the current season and the following campaign through June 2028.

The contract also contains an option to extend the partnership by another year if Schalke avoids relegation.

Executive Comments

Matthias Tillmann, CEO of FC Schalke 04, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome FOGO as an Exclusive Partner of FC Schalke 04.”

Tomasz Błaszak, Founder, Owner and Chairman of the Board at FOGO, said:

“The partnership between FOGO and Schalke 04 represents another important step in the development of our brand in both the German and European markets.”
