FC Bayern Munich has signed a global partnership with LONGi, one of the world's largest solar technology companies, adding another renewable energy brand to the club's international commercial portfolio.
The partnership was unveiled during a launch event in Hong Kong, where LONGi also introduced its new EcoLife Plug & Play Series, a residential solar product line making its global debut.
For LONGi, the agreement represents its second major sports partnership in Europe this year, following its collaboration with the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2026.
Sustainability Joins the Commercial Agenda Bayern
The two organisations said the partnership will focus on promoting renewable energy through joint campaigns, content and supporter engagement under the theme "POWER ON, GAME ON."
FC Bayern Board Member for Marketing & Sales Rouven Kasper said the club shares LONGi's commitment to innovation and sustainability, describing renewable energy as an increasingly important topic for football.
LONGi Chairman and General Manager Zhong Baoshen said football connects millions of people worldwide while energy affects every aspect of daily life, creating a common platform for the collaboration.
Product Launch Accompanies the Partnership
The partnership announcement also coincided with the worldwide launch of LONGi's EcoLife Plug & Play Series, a new residential solar product designed for home energy applications.
LONGi said the new product extends technology already used in utility-scale solar plants and commercial installations into the residential market.
Launching both announcements during the same event allowed the company to combine corporate sponsorship with product marketing before an international audience.
