FC Barcelona expects to generate approximately €700 million in committed revenue from 2,000 remaining VIP seats at the redeveloped Spotify Camp Nou after introducing a new long-term licensing model for its premium hospitality inventory.
Developed with Legends Global, Barcelona’s strategic hospitality partner, the model will allow customers to acquire an exclusive licence for an individual VIP seat for either 15 or 30 years, with payment made upfront.
The move follows the commercialisation of almost 5,000 VIP seats under previous arrangements, which Barcelona says have already generated more than €380 million in committed revenue. Suites and boxes at the stadium have also been fully commercialised.
Together, the figures underline the role premium hospitality is expected to play in the economics of the rebuilt Camp Nou.
2,000 VIP Seats Move to Long-Term Licensing Model Barcelona
Barcelona will apply the new structure to approximately 2,000 VIP seats that remain available at Spotify Camp Nou.
Instead of continuing with the previous contracting model, customers will purchase a licence giving them exclusive use of an individual VIP seat for a 15- or 30-year period, alongside associated hospitality benefits and services.
Barcelona expects the remaining inventory to be commercialised over approximately two and a half seasons.
The club describes the structure as a new proposition for the European market. Crucially, the model also changes the timing of the economics: payments are made upfront, while customers receive the rights and benefits associated with their seats over the duration of their licences.
Barcelona Forecasts €700m in Committed Revenue
Barcelona expects the remaining 2,000 VIP seats to generate approximately €700 million in committed revenue through the new licensing model.
The seats will be offered under 15- and 30-year licences, with customers making an upfront payment in exchange for exclusive rights to a VIP seat and associated benefits for the duration of the agreement. Barcelona expects to commercialise the inventory over approximately two and a half seasons.
The €700 million figure represents committed revenue associated with the long-term contracts and should therefore not be interpreted as annual hospitality revenue or as €700 million of revenue to be recognised in a single financial year.
The new phase follows the commercialisation of nearly 5,000 VIP seats, which Barcelona says have generated more than €380 million in committed revenue through contracts of varying durations. Suites and boxes at Spotify Camp Nou have also been fully commercialised.
Taken together, the figures point to more than €1 billion in committed revenue associated with Barcelona's hospitality inventory. However, the more than €380 million already secured and the €700 million forecast relate to contracts of different durations and should not be treated as revenue attributable to a single reporting period.
Barcelona said the projected economics of the new licensing model represent a significant increase compared with the original hospitality assumptions for the wider Espai Barça project.
Nearly 5,000 VIP Seats Already Commercialised
The new phase builds on a hospitality sales programme Barcelona and Legends Global have been developing since 2024.
Almost 5,000 VIP seats have already been commercialised, generating more than €380 million in committed revenue through contracts of varying lengths.
The stadium's suites and boxes have also been fully commercialised, according to the announcement.
Adding the €700 million forecast for the remaining inventory to the more than €380 million already committed indicates that Barcelona's VIP hospitality programme could represent more than €1 billion in contracted revenue commitments, although the two figures cover different contract structures and periods and should not be treated as revenue belonging to a single financial year.
For the club, however, the financial structure is particularly notable. The upfront-payment model can accelerate cash generation from inventory whose benefits will be delivered over periods stretching as long as three decades.
Legends Global Continues Camp Nou Commercialisation
Legends Global will continue to support Barcelona with the development and commercialisation of the hospitality programme.
The two organisations have worked together on the project since 2024, following Barcelona's opening of the Barça Hospitality Showroom in 2023 to market the premium areas planned for the redeveloped stadium.
