FC Barcelona has confirmed a new commercial partnership with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), naming the lender as the club’s Official Commercial Banking Partner in Indonesia through December 31, 2027.
The agreement positions Indonesia—one of Barça’s largest fan markets in Asia—at the centre of the club’s regional commercial strategy, with the partnership focused on payments, co-branded products and local fan engagement rather than matchday sponsorship assets.
Banking, Payments and Fan Engagement as the Core Assets FC Barcelona
Under the two-season deal, BRI will launch a co-branded debit card and deploy FC Barcelona branding across selected campaigns. Activation will be led locally and is expected to include a mix of digital and in-market initiatives aimed at BRI’s retail customer base.
Planned fan-facing elements include travel opportunities to Barcelona, matchday access at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou, visits to the Barça Immersive Museum, and preferential offers linked to the club’s membership products.
Indonesia’s Strategic Weight in FC Barcelona’s Asia-Pacific Strategy
According to data cited by the club, FC Barcelona counts approximately 29 million fans in Indonesia, contributing to an estimated 243 million supporters across the Asia-Pacific region. For global clubs, markets of this size offer a clear rationale for localised partnerships—particularly with domestic financial institutions capable of nationwide distribution.
For FC Barcelona, the BRI agreement adds another layer to its Asia-Pacific portfolio, complementing existing regional partnerships and reinforcing a long-term market development strategy that extends beyond preseason tours or broadcast exposure.
