Bayer 04 Leverkusen is thrilled to announce the extension of its partnership with LEDVANCE, a global leader in the lighting industry, until 2027. This renewal marks a significant advancement in both ecological and social sustainability for the German club, which won double titles recently.
Enhancing Stadium Experience with Advanced Lighting
The collaboration between Bayer 04 and LEDVANCE, which began in the 2022/23 season, has already seen substantial improvements around BayArena, including various lighting projects. The partnership's centerpiece, known as the "lighthouse project," involves a complete overhaul of the stadium's floodlight system. Initiated at the end of May, the project is set to conclude by the end of July.
Technical Upgrades for a Modernized Visual Experience
The new system will feature 324 pitch lighting floodlights, 60 Quattro RGBW floodlights for the stands, and 36 illuminated roof segments in the outer circle of BayArena. This upgrade introduces DMX-dimmable and color-changing capabilities that will allow the stadium to enhance the match-day atmosphere with varied lighting effects, color changes, and show-stopping visual displays.
A Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Markus Breglec, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Bayer 04, expressed satisfaction with the partnership's achievements so far and optimism about its future. He highlighted that the upgrade represents more than just aesthetic enhancements—it's a commitment to sustainable practices and innovative solutions that resonate with both fans and the community.
Looking Forward to a Brighter Future
Bayer 04 Leverkusen and LEDVANCE are excited to continue their fruitful collaboration, bringing not only advanced lighting solutions to BayArena but also setting a standard for sustainability in sports facilities. This partnership is poised to transform the visual experience for fans while emphasizing the club's dedication to environmental responsibility.
