Atlético de Madrid has announced a new two-year agreement with Zumub, naming the sports nutrition company the club’s Official Sports Supplement Nutrition Partner. The deal covers the men’s first team and reinforces the club’s continued investment in performance infrastructure as competition demands intensify across domestic and European campaigns.
Zumub, which supplies nutritional products and supplements to several high-performance sports organisations, expands its presence in elite football through this partnership. The company will provide Atlético players with tailored supplementation aligned to the club’s performance, conditioning and recovery programmes.
Focus on Performance, Recovery and Sport Science Integration
The partnership gives Atlético access to a wide portfolio of Zumub products used in athlete preparation cycles, matchday routines and post-game recovery.
Clubs across Europe have increasingly formalised their nutrition partnerships as the market becomes more competitive and more data-driven. This agreement fits into that shift, with Atlético deploying specialised suppliers to support its performance department in areas such as:
• personalised supplementation
• recovery protocols
• micronutrient monitoring
• sustained workload management
The partnership is expected to run across the full two-year term, covering LaLiga, UEFA competitions and pre-season periods.
Executives' Comments Atlético de Madrid Zumub
Zumub CEO Urbano Da Veiga highlighted the company’s strategy of working with elite teams, noting that the agreement reflects growing demand for specialist performance nutrition in football. He emphasised Zumub’s role in supporting preparation and recovery processes rather than positioning the deal as a brand-building opportunity.
Atlético de Madrid’s Chief Revenue and Operations Officer Óscar Mayo described the agreement as part of the club’s long-term approach to resource optimisation for the first team. He underlined the importance of athlete care and performance management, pointing to nutrition partnerships as a structural rather than promotional investment.
