After nearly two years without a main shirt sponsor, Lechia Gdansk has confirmed that LV BET will take over as front-of-shirt sponsor, beginning with the club’s upcoming match against GKS Katowice. The announcement comes as part of a broader expansion of the partnership between the club and the Polish betting company, which initially signed on as a sleeve sponsor in January 2025.
This development not only ends one of the most visible commercial absences in Polish football but also signifies a turning point in Lechia’s commercial recovery after a period marked by instability and relegation.

Lechia Gdansk had been without a main shirt sponsor since the end of its partnership with eToro in mid-2023, a period during which the club faced financial challenges and on-pitch relegation. The absence of a lead sponsor was widely seen as a symbolic reflection of the club’s downturn.
The deal with LV BET fills that void and marks the first front-of-shirt agreement since the club began its rebuild in the Polish second tier.
From Sleeve to Center: A Rapid Sponsorship Expansion
LV BET began its cooperation with Lechia on January 31, 2025, with branding appearing on sleeves, in-stadium signage, and club marketing communications. In just four months, the relationship has deepened — culminating in a full sponsorship upgrade.
The brand, which has operated in the Polish betting market since 2016, now becomes Lechia’s primary commercial partner, with rights to shirt-front placement and greater visibility across digital and fan-facing platforms.
“When we started working with LV BET in January, it was an important step and a chance to build something long-term,” said Paweł Kokosza, Lechia’s Commercial Director. “Seeing our partner increase their commitment so soon and appear on the front of the shirt is a great signal.”
Commercial Context and Strategic Timing
The announcement comes at a time when Lechia is fighting to re-establish itself both on and off the pitch. The new deal provides not only a boost in revenue, but also enhances the club’s position as it seeks to attract further commercial partners and stabilize its operations.
For LV BET, the move is part of a strategy to invest in regional football properties with passionate supporter bases and growth potential.
“We entered this project with belief in the club’s potential and the people behind it,” said Marcin Doszczeczko, CEO of LV BET. “Taking the main sponsor role is a natural continuation of that vision.”
