Valencia CF has named Daplast as the official Stadium Partner for the Nou Mestalla project, establishing a strategic supply agreement covering general seating and a majority of the hospitality seating portfolio. The partnership positions the Córdoba-based manufacturer as a key contributor to the stadium’s spectator experience, with Daplast set to deliver more than 69,000 of the venue’s 70,044 seats ahead of the scheduled 2027 opening.

The agreement underscores Valencia CF’s commitment to modernising its stadium infrastructure with a focus on comfort, accessibility, durability and long-term sustainability. For Daplast, a specialist in seating systems for sports venues, the contract reinforces its position within Spain’s top-tier football infrastructure market as large-scale redevelopment projects continue across the country.

Strategic Scope of the Partnership Valencia CF

Daplast will supply seating for both the stadium’s general capacity and six of the ten hospitality products, covering areas such as Suites, Gold Club, Silver Club, Bronze Club, restaurants, Diamond Club and Presidential Club. The deal includes not only seating installation but also specialised furniture solutions for premium zones.

This structure enables Valencia CF to consolidate procurement and quality standards across a wide range of seating categories — a key consideration in large-scale stadia where variability between manufacturers can lead to operational inconsistencies and long-term maintenance complexity.

Enhancing Accessibility, Mobility and Matchday Flow

Nou Mestalla’s seating plan introduces a number of functional improvements intended to optimise circulation and accessibility:

• Individually foldable seats, designed to reduce obstruction and improve movement across rows.

• Compact folding position (20 cm depth), increasing usable circulation space.

• Aisles widened to 65 cm, compared to approximately 35 cm at the current Camp de Mestalla.

• Lateral spacing of at least 50 cm between seats, improving comfort relative to the existing 45 cm average.

These adjustments reflect broader industry trends in new stadium construction, where mobility and clear access paths directly influence crowd management efficiency, safety compliance and spectator satisfaction.

Material Standards, Durability and Sustainability

The seating systems incorporate materials engineered for mechanical resistance, corrosion protection and long-term structural endurance — particularly relevant in Mediterranean climates with high UV exposure. Daplast has reproduced Valencia CF’s existing seat colour Pantone while increasing UV resistance for improved longevity.

The project also incorporates:

• biosourced or recyclable material components,

• LED-aligned sustainability criteria within seating manufacturing,

• production aligned with European quality standards.

Such measures align with sustainability frameworks increasingly expected in new stadium developments and public-private capital expenditure across European sport.

Customisation for Hospitality Products

Hospitality zones will receive model variations and accessories tailored to each space’s operational needs and brand identity. Premium seating formats will combine enhanced ergonomics, higher-grade materials and bespoke finishes, reflecting the industry-wide emphasis on hospitality revenue as a core driver of stadium ROI.

Nou Mestalla’s hospitality design strategy ultimately aims to enhance corporate, premium and F&B-driven matchday revenue — areas where Spanish clubs have traditionally lagged behind counterparts in England and Germany but are now accelerating investment.

Leadership Perspectives

Valencia CF general director Javier Solís described the agreement as a step that reinforces the stadium project’s positioning as a modern, top-tier venue designed around supporter expectations.

Daplast CEO Rafael Pérez-Esparza characterised the contract as both a challenge and an opportunity, noting the company’s long-term focus on elevating spectator experience across large stadium projects.
