Real Madrid has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Afrika Banque, making the financial institution an official partner of the club in West Africa. The deal was formalized at Ciudad Real Madrid by Emilio Butragueño, the club’s Director of Institutional Relations, and Vasco Duarte Silva, CEO of Afrika Financial Group.

Partnership Scope Real Madrid Afrika Banque

The agreement positions Afrika Banque as an official sponsor of Real Madrid in West Africa. It reflects a shared vision of supporting talent, promoting teamwork, and encouraging ambition across borders.

For Real Madrid, the collaboration is aligned with the club’s ongoing strategy of engagement and solidarity in Africa. The Real Madrid Foundation currently operates 50 projects in 22 countries across the continent, benefiting more than 10,000 participants.

Statements from Both Parties

Vasco Duarte Silva, CEO of Afrika Financial Group, described the partnership as an important milestone:

“This alliance with Real Madrid symbolizes a new stage in the history of Afrika Banque. We want to inspire new generations, support those who dream big, and strengthen our identity as a modern bank committed to the development of the continent.”

Strategic Context

For Afrika Banque, the sponsorship reinforces its position as one of the continent’s most prominent financial institutions. For Real Madrid, the agreement strengthens its presence in Africa, a region considered central to the club’s global development strategy.

Broader Implications

The collaboration underlines how top European clubs are expanding their commercial networks beyond traditional markets. By securing regional sponsorships, clubs like Real Madrid are able to combine commercial growth with community engagement initiatives, particularly in emerging markets.

The partnership takes effect immediately, with activations expected to focus on both brand visibility and social development programs in West Africa.
