Real Madrid has held a formal gathering with international supporters’ clubs in Jeddah, underlining the club’s ongoing engagement with its global fan base ahead of the Spanish Super Cup final.

The event took place at the Jeddah Hilton and was attended by approximately 500 supporters, representing 26 officially recognised Real Madrid supporters’ clubs, as part of the club’s activities surrounding the final hosted in Saudi Arabia.

Club-Led Fan Engagement in Key International Markets

The meeting was led by club president Florentino Pérez and forms part of Real Madrid’s broader strategy of maintaining direct institutional links with its international supporter network, particularly in regions that regularly host official competitions.

Saudi Arabia has become a recurring venue for the Spanish Super Cup in recent years, and Real Madrid has now contested multiple finals in the country. From a football business perspective, these events provide clubs with opportunities to combine competitive fixtures with structured fan engagement and brand reinforcement in priority markets.

President Highlights Global Nature of the Fan Base Real Madrid

Addressing supporters in attendance, Pérez emphasised the role of international fans in the club’s identity:

“Madridismo is capable of uniting millions of people around the world. It goes beyond origin, nationality, language, religion, ideology or culture.”

He also referenced the club’s continued presence in Saudi Arabia for the competition, noting that the upcoming match would mark Real Madrid’s sixth Spanish Super Cup final played in the country.

Competitive Context Meets Fan Relations

Beyond the symbolic dimension, the gathering reflects how elite clubs integrate fan relations into their international competition schedules. Supporters’ club events are increasingly used to reinforce loyalty, recognise local fan structures and maintain alignment between sporting activity and commercial presence abroad.
