Atlético de Madrid has signed a five-year partnership agreement with IFEMA Madrid to become a Local Event Supporter of the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Spanish Grand Prix, set to take place in the Spanish capital from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the new MADRING circuit.

Partnership Overview Atlético de Madrid MADRING

Under the agreement, Atlético de Madrid’s Estadio Metropolitano will play a central role in the Grand Prix weekend, hosting the main concert of the event and serving as a logistical and hospitality hub for fans and partners.

The collaboration between the football club and the Formula 1 event reflects a broader strategy to connect major sports, culture, and entertainment within Madrid’s urban landscape, reinforcing the city’s positioning as an international hub for large-scale events.

Metropolitano Stadium as a Key Venue

During the Formula 1 weekend, the Metropolitano Stadium will serve as an extended venue for the Grand Prix, offering:

  • The main concert and live entertainment performances,

  • Exclusive fan experiences and reception zones,

  • Transport services linking the stadium to the MADRING circuit.

The arrangement will allow thousands of spectators to enjoy the Formula 1 atmosphere within one of Madrid’s most iconic sports venues, creating a multi-site experience that bridges the circuit with the city.

Atlético’s Presence at MADRING

As part of the partnership, Atlético de Madrid will have a dedicated hospitality area inside the MADRING circuit, located within one of the most premium sections of the track.

This space will host Atlético’s members, partners, and corporate clients, offering a bespoke environment that merges motorsport excitement with the club’s identity and values. The hospitality suite will feature red-and-white-themed décor, tailored experiences, and access to premium viewing points — extending the Atlético brand beyond football into the Formula 1 ecosystem.

Sustainability and Urban Integration

The new MADRING circuit is a 5.4-kilometer semi-urban track designed to be one of the most accessible on the F1 calendar. Located just five minutes from Madrid-Barajas Airport, it will be directly connected by metro, train, and bus lines.

Organizers expect around 80% of spectators to arrive via public transport, helping reduce the carbon footprint associated with the event. The Grand Prix will also use 100% renewable electricity across key operational areas, aligning with Formula 1’s sustainability objectives.
