Olympique de Marseille has officially rebranded its women’s team, with OM Féminines now becoming Les Marseillaises. The new identity draws inspiration from the French revolutionary anthem, symbolising strength, freedom, and ambition. Olympique de Marseille “Les Marseillaises”


Strategic Repositioning Olympique de Marseille “Les Marseillaises”


The rebrand extends beyond sport, positioning Les Marseillaises as not only a football team but also a cultural and lifestyle brand. According to the club, the initiative reflects the values of passion, resilience, and unity associated with Marseille while aiming to reach international audiences.


The launch slogan – “Toutes les révolutions commencent par une Marseillaise” – emphasises the ambition to create a movement that resonates beyond football, aligned with universal values of inclusion, progress, and freedom.


Visual Identity and Branding


While the team will continue to carry the OM crest on their kits, Les Marseillaises now have their own emblem: a logo inspired by the Marianne statue, an enduring symbol of the French Revolution. The emblem will be used across marketing, merchandise, and digital platforms as a symbol of emancipation and cultural identity.


Collaboration with PUMA


As part of the rebrand, PUMA has launched a new lifestyle collection dedicated to Les Marseillaises. The line includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, apparel, and accessories, designed to represent the distinctive energy of Marseille. The collection positions the women’s team within both the sportswear and cultural fashion markets.


Launch Activation


The unveiling took place during the OM vs. FC Lorient Ligue 1 match at the Orange Vélodrome, supported by a dedicated campaign including:


  • A new website and ticketing platform for Les Marseillaises

  • A TikTok channel exclusively for the women’s team

  • Presentation of the squad on the pitch

  • Presence in VIP areas and on-screen activations

  • Les Marseillaises branding displayed on OM men’s team kits during the match
